Alla base dell'HBgroup esiste una particolare attenzione all'utente-uomo (che è anche donna, bambino, anziano) il quale, nel corso della vita, può presentare alcune disabilità, lievi o gravi, temporanee o permanenti. Questo significa affrontare le reali necessità degli individui, considerarne le difficoltà e i disagi ma soprattutto le capacità e le abilità, nella ricerca di soluzioni in grado di rispettare le esigenze del singolo individuo e, al contempo, della collettività.

L'HBgroup sviluppa la sua attività in relazione a servizi di consulenza, progettazione e ricerca organizzati e coordinati, in cui la pluralità di esperienze diventa fondamento di un lavoro tecnicamente e culturalmente adeguato. In questo l'HBgroup - oltre a lavorare a stretto contatto con l'utenza - si avvale della collaborazione di esperti in diversi settori (terapisti della riabilitazione, educatori, psicologi, sociologi, esperti legali, ingegneri, ecc.).
L'esperienza maturata in diversi anni di ricerca e lavoro - dai singoli progettisti e dal gruppo - si applica a molteplici ambiti: dal design di oggetti agli arredi, dal progetto architettonico alla sistemazione di spazi urbani, dall'adeguamento di alloggi ai progetti di accessibilità, dall'attività formativa e di ricerca a quella editoriale. HBgroup è una struttura che si rivolge a privati, agli enti pubblici, a progettisti e ad Aziende che intendano trovare soluzioni di prodotti ad Utenza Ampliata o desiderino effettuare ricerche progettuali, normative e di mercato.

Underlying the HBgroup is a special attention for the user as a man, but also as a woman, a child, young or old - with all the vagaries of chance as life progresses - a person who may have disabilities, some slight, others more serious, some temporary, others permanent. What this means is an approach that comes to grips with people's real requirements, considering their abilities and difficulties, their needs and those occasions when they are at a disadvantage, in a quest for a solution devised to respect the needs of the individual and at the same time those of the community.

The HBgroup offers co-ordinated consultancy and design services, in which the variety of experience and information is combined in the interests of providing qualified results. For this purpose, the HBgroup can call on a pool of experts in a wide range of fields: rehabilitation experts, psychologists, sociologists, legal experts, engineers etc.
The experience accumulated in several years of research and work - by the group and by its individual members - ranges over a variety of fields: from product design to furniture, from architecture to public space design, from contributes to a variety of magazines to University and design school lectures. The HBgroup specialises in housing refurbishment and accessibility projects and offers its expertise both to private clients and to design offices that need a qualified opinion of what complies with current standards. It also works with firms interested in products based on the principles of Inclusive Design or in undertaking research into design potential or legal standards.
